The Smalls- My Dear Little Angle

A great Canadian Band from Edmonton Alberta, the town I was born in.  The Smalls killed the indie scene in western Canada with no help at all from big labels and industry.  There was even a riot in the town I grew up in during one of their shows leading to some serious police brutality.
They never failed to put on an amazing show and the time I had the pleasure to see them live was no different. Amazing!!!

I love Social D and this Rolling Stones cover is bang on. Mike Ness is a genius!

Four Tet - She Moves She (2003)

I really like this song. Not 100% sold on the distortion but I think it tells a story of just how fragile and delicate "she" is......or maybe "she's" just dangerous.

I didn't really realize until I did a little searching, that I've been listening to these guys all my life.
"Yakety Yak", "Love Potion Number 9" are just two and there were plenty more. Amazing!

IRON BUTTERFLY - IN A GADDA DA VIDA - 1968 (ORIGINAL FULL VERSION) CD SO...

This has got to be one of the most epic rock songs of all time and here it is in it's full entirety! All 17min of it! This one song far surpasses the musical talent in over 90% of what released these days.
I had to post the video of the 17 min version although for the 8tracks playlist I've posted the 3 min version.

The Misfits - Hatebreeders

Ok this has got to be my Favorite punk group of all time. This song probably isn't one of their best and surely not this recording. For a better quality hit the play button on the 8tracks player and listen through the playlist.
Hatebreed has credited their name to this Misfits song and has done a pretty good cover of the song. I'll post both versions and let you decide.

On Sundays I like to post chill, reflective music. Well this sunday is no different. I'm sitting on the terrace watching my kids play around the Home that Celine and I have built and I can't help but feel a deep sense of peace when I'm looking at what we've created. This song always evokes strong feelings for almost everyone that listens to it.

I love Punk. The aggression, distaste for any social establishment and basic disregard for any form of authority. I love the fact that there is no precision, musically, lyrically. It seems so pure to me.
I don't remember where I found these guys but I guess it doesn't matter, I re-found them today and it fit perfectly for my mood.
Check out some of their songs off the same album, like "500 channels". The earlier songs on the disc are less aggressive and more ska based.
